After searching for him, I finally spotted a man in the crowd I thought may have been Merv, and sure enough, I had the right guy. Yes! The kind woman described him perfectly. I approached Merv and introduced myself. We struck up a conversation naturally. It was as if we’d already known each other for years. He took the time out to look over my business ideas, and right away, grabbed a pen & paper to initiate writing and sketching, helping to bring my ideas to life on the spot. He looked up at me and stated, “Cherra, I do not usually take this much time out for anyone.” Keep in mind, we were at a trade show, where there were hundreds of people all around us. Merv could have been networking with many other individuals, but instead, we sat at the table for hours further discussing business ideas. Needless to say, we formed our friendship and business venture right there in that moment.
Merv is a one in a million stand up guy. I have never met anyone like him before. During our conversations throughout the years, I would always say to him, "Merv, you are THE MAN!" He would always chuckle, in a humbled vibe, as to say, “I'm glad you recognize!"
Not only was he my friend and mentor, he cheered for me and admonished me to never stop. Merv will always be a big part of me, and of our CleeYor Innovations Family as a whole.
I have always admired how Merv loved and honored his family and his culture; it was always so refreshing to witness. That wisdom, born from our friendship and our time working together on CleeYor, is the quiet strength I bring to Cozy Corner Lifestyle. I look forward to visiting his home in China one day. I truly miss my friend. MUCH LOVE & RESPECT, ALWAYS!
